Sunyoung Park
Seoul, South Korea
Sunyoung Park is an artist working in photosculpture. Her practice explores the expanded materiality of photography by transforming printed memory images into sculptural structures through cutting, layering, and folding.
Her recent work focuses on architectural fragments and red brick structures encountered across Asia. Through these materials, she investigates themes of migration, displacement, and the sensory experience of place.
During her residency at New Space Arts Foundation in Huế, Park will develop new photosculpture works that respond to the city’s layered postcolonial architectural landscape while introducing her Photopiles method through a public workshop and exhibition.
