Le Ngoc Mai Nguyen studies Painting and Graphic Arts at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle under Prof. Paul McDevitt.

As a German-Vietnamese artist, she seeks not merely to juxtapose these two cultural poles in her work, but to bring them into dialogue with one another.

In doing so, she engages with themes such as racism, classism, and feminism in both everyday life and art.

Through an ongoing inner monologue, she confronts questions of alienation and belonging, freedom and responsibility, as well as the position of women within different cultural contexts.
